Object
Change in capital, event(s), shareholding(s), dividend(s)
The Company was granted a 1,000 hectare property and an option on a further 4,000 hectares to be chosen in the Lubefu basin, with the right to harvest rubber.
In 1899, the Company owned 30,000 coffee trees and began its commercial operations. The beginning was affected by establishment difficulties and production for the year was thirty-eight tons of rubber; but in January 1900, it was ten tons and if the posts were supplied regularly, it could reach twenty tons per month.
At the end of 1899, alongside the coffee and cocoa plantations, there were 100,000 rubber vines. An exploration of the river will make it possible to choose new posts and the 4,000 hectares under option (21-(1900 T1)-109).
In 1902, the Company acquired a stake in the Compagnie du Kasaï (21-(1904 T1)-67), which enabled it, among other things, to make a profit from the dividends paid and from sales of Compagnie du Kasaï shares.
Dissolution and liquidation
The company was dissolved and put into liquidation on 10 December 1907.
On 3 February 1908, the liquidation of the Compagnie Anversoise des Plantations du Lubefu transferred all its assets to the Compagnie du Lubefu, which was formed on the same day with a capital of 5,200 shares of no par value, with the exception of 10,560 Kasai hundredths; 600,000 francs in cash or securities to be calculated on the basis of their realization at public auction or on the Brussels stock exchange. This contribution was made in exchange for 5,184 shares in Compagnie de Lubefu; sixteen shares were given to various parties who paid the formation costs (21-(1909 T1)-1192).
